About 150 producers from Nicoadala District, in Zambezia province, benefited yesterday, 18.07.2022, from a training in good agricultural practices in controlled environments and use of irrigation technologies to increase productivity and production.
According to the coordinator of the Zambezi Valley Agricultural Mechanization Program (PROMAG), Adamuge Cebola, this activity is part of the Project for the Invocation and Transfer of Agricultural Technologies (PROITA), an initiative of the Zambezi Agency.
According to the coordinator of PROMAG the objective is to “show and disseminate in practice the performance achieved in the production of different vegetables using production technologies in controlled environments through greenhouses and shades, sprinkler and drip irrigation technologies powered by photovoltaic sources and associated with good production practices.
The training took place in a production unit of a reference producer, Ricardo Manuel César, assisted by the Zambezi Agency since 2019.
The event was witnessed by representatives of the Zambezia Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries, District Services of Economic Activities, technicians of the Zambezi Agency Provincial Delegation, Multifunctions and Services, AQi, Sustenta, K2, Matuel Commercial, among others.
