The third edition of the Catalytic Fund for Innovation and Demonstration (FCID) was launched yesterday in the district of Mocuba in Zambezia province.
The 3rd edition of the FCID, valued at 15 million US dollars, is part of the Economic Connections for Diversification Project (CONECTA NEGÓCIOS), a program of the Government of Mozambique, with the support of the World Bank, under the coordination of the Zambezi Agency.
The FCID aims to improve access to markets for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through complementary public and private investments in the Zambezi Valley Region (under the coordination of the Zambezi Agency) and the Northern Corridor (under the coordination of the Northern Integrated Development Agency).
The FCID launch ceremony took place at the Mocuba Business Center and was led by the Governor of Zambezia Province, Pio Matos, and was attended by the Director General of the Zambezi Agency, Roberto Albino, a representative of the World Bank, Laurent Olivier, representatives of the private sector from the provinces of Zambezia, Sofala, Manica and Tete and some beneficiaries of previous editions.
Also at the same event, there was an exhibition of national and foreign products and potential.
