The Director General of the Zambezi Agency recently carried out a working visit to the districts of Quelimane and Nicoadala, in Zambezia Province, with the aim of assessing the execution of activities implemented in that part of the country, covered by the Zambezi Valley region .
In Quelimane, the director met with the Vice-Rector of Unilicungo, Brigida de Oliveira Singo, where they discussed a possible partnership for the implementation of the PRO-SOJA Project, which aims to produce soybeans on a commercial scale, and to strengthen institutional capacity from that educational institution.
Roberto Albino also attended a training course on sustainability for managers of rice processing units located in that province.
In the District of Nicoadala, the Director General visited a rice processing unit in order to learn about its performance and listen to the manager’s satisfaction.
Albino also named some beneficiaries of irrigation systems covered by the Project for Innovations and Transfer of Agrarian Technologies (PROITTA) whose objective is to contribute to increasing production, productivity and agrarian profitability.
