A training session for producers in the use of irrigation systems was recently held at the Cateme Administrative Post in the Moatize District of Tete.
According to Albino Cossa, a technician from the Zambezi Agency, 44 new beneficiaries of motor pumps were trained, 41 of them producers,
from the districts of Tsangano and Moatize, technicians from the District Services for Economic Activities (SEDAE) and the Chingodzi Prison Services (Tete).
“The aim of the (training) session was to equip farmers with the knowledge and skills to set up, operate and maintain irrigation systems in order to improve agricultural production and productivity,” explained Cossa.
