Around 60 agricultural machinery operators from Sofala province benefited from training in use and maintenance.
The training, supported by the Zambezi Agency as part of the Agricultural Mechanisation Programme in the Zambezi Valley, took place on 11 and 12 September in the Mafambisse cluster, Dondo District.
According to Charles Parreirão, Delegate of the Zambezi Agency in Sofala, ‘this training aims to provide operators with the necessary tools to ensure good use and maintenance of agricultural equipment, as well as improving efficiency and effectiveness in the process of soil preparation, fertilisation and mechanised sowing.
The trained agricultural machinery operators come from the districts of Gorongosa, Chemba, Dondo, Máringuè, Caia, Marromeu, Búzi and Nhamatanda, and four are female.
