The Minister for the Economy, Basílio Muhate, launched the Tete International Investment Conference yesterday, 26 May 2026, in Maputo.
The event aims to position Tete Province as a competitive investment hub at national and international level, driven by the potential of existing opportunities in the energy, agriculture, mining, tourism, infrastructure and services sectors.
The ceremony was attended by the Governor of Tete Province, Domingos Viola, the Provincial Secretary of State, Cristina Mafumo, the Director-General of the Zambezi Valley Development Agency (ADVZ), the President of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA), Álvaro Massingue, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Mozambique, national and international businesspeople, amongst other dignitaries.
