The Minister of National Defense, Cristóvão Chume, believes that the strategic partnership with the Zambezi Agency adds value to the growth of Mozambique’s Civic Services (SCM).
Cristóvão Chume said this yesterday (May 9) in Tsangano District, Tete Province, during the launch of the national harvesting campaign in the SCM’s Productive Units.
According to the Minister of National Defense, for the current 2023/24 campaign, a record harvest is expected, highlighting Tete Province with 59 hectares of corn, as well as vegetables.
“The partnership adds value, which is why the result is also better (production in Tete),” he said, explaining that “in addition to technical assistance on improved forms of production, the Zambezi Agency has contributed with agricultural implements and other types of capacity and knowledge that help us in terms of better structuring to get into the agricultural business.”
The head of national defense underlined the commitment of the SCM providers whose weapon today is production, contributing to feeding the armed forces and the surplus destined for marketing in order to contribute financially to the activities of that sector.
