A delegation from the Zambezi Agency is on a working visit to the Republic of Portugal with the aim of identifying investment opportunities in the agro-processing, conservation and marketing of horticultural and livestock products.
The mission is composed of the General Manager, Roberto Albino, the Administrator of Assistance and Financial Services, Nelson Rodrigues and the Delegate of the Province of Tete, Nuno Pinto Novo.
Representatives of the Zambezi Agency visit institutions and institutions from that European country in the cities of Ribatejo, Lisbon, Alentejo, Santarém, among others.
According to Nuno Pinto Novo, the visit in partnership with AGROCLUSTER Santarém, falls within the strategic component of agro-industrialization in the Zambezi Valley Region – ProZambeze, in particular with small and medium-sized solutions in order to take advantage of the potential locally, attracting and promoting investments with a view to reducing imports of basic products.
It is also expected to deepen the knowledge on production and processing technologies; model of organization and vertical integration of actors in the subsectors and laying the foundations for the creation of strategic partnerships that contribute to the development of priority value chains in the Zambezi Valley.
