On June 30, the Zambezi Agency supported the Transitional Old Age Support Center in Catandica, Báruè District, in Manica Province.
The activity is part of the celebrations marking the 14th anniversary of its creation by the Central Government, with the aim of supporting socio-economic development initiatives driven by the resource potential of the Zambezi Valley region, in order to generate wealth and well-being for the population and the country in general.
The Catandica Old Age Support Center, which has around 30 users, received support in the form of food and clothing.
According to the Delegate of the Zambezi Agency in Manica, Eduardo Mucavele, “the aim of this visit is to transmit hope, smiles and joy to this population group, which is in a situation of socio-economic vulnerability”.
The event was attended by members of the Báruè government, the National Institute for Social Action (INAS), staff from the Zambezi Agency, among others.
