Around 24 associations in the Gorongosa district of Sofala province are benefiting from training in business management and assistance in drawing up business plans.

This activity is the result of a partnership between the Zambezi Agency and the Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (IPEME, IP), with the aim of developing business management skills and facilitating access to finance for small rural entrepreneurs, with a focus on young people, women and the disabled.

According to the Delegate of the Zambezi Agency in Sofala, Charles Parreirão, at the end, the trainees are expected to be qualified to benefit from the Rural Entrepreneurship Financing Project (REFP) managed by GAPI SARL.

“Participants will acquire fundamental knowledge about finance, marketing, human resources and operations, enabling them to make more informed and strategic decisions for the success of their businesses,” explained Parreirão, adding that “they will develop practical management skills in a sustainable way, strengthening their network of contacts in order to contribute to the economic development of their communities.”

It should be noted that each association is made up of around 30 members.
