The Governor of Tete Province , Domingos Viola, of Tete has welcomed the intervention of the Zambezi Agency in order to boost agro-processing in the Zambezi Valley.
The statement was made during a visit to the Zambezi Valley Pavilion at the 57 Edition of FACIM, which is being held in Marracuene District, Maputo Province.
“We saw the stands of the companies that operate in the region and we think that the agro-processing component is an asset to our region” – said Viola adding “to bring the agro-processing of what we produce. And we produce a lot”.
The Governor of Tete stressed the support of the Zambezi Agency in the revitalization of the agro-industries.
“We have a financial support package of around USD 50 million for the revitalisation of the agro-industries, through the AGRIVALE project,” explained Viola.
“We think it is already a step, considering that the mission of our government is to industrialise.
“We want to salute the work that is done by the Zambezi Agency,” concluded the governor.
