This Friday (31), the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, inaugurated a photovoltaic energy and water supply system at the Nhamassonge Administrative Post, in the District of Guro, Manica Province.
The infrastructure, valued at around 130 million meticais, has the capacity to benefit around ten thousand inhabitants.
The photovoltaic energy and water supply system in Nhamassonge-sede is an initiative of the Zambezi Agency as part of its assistance to local governments in incorporating the components of territorial planning and development and socio-economic development.
For Filipe Nyusi, who was speaking to the population, this infrastructure consolidates the role of the Zambezi Valley Development Agency in promoting better living conditions for the population.
“Today Nhamassonge is developing. Here we can have a cold beer and develop other activities that were not possible before because of the lack of electricity,” said the head of state, stressing that “We can now subdivide our land and build more infrastructure because we now have water and energy.”
The PR called on the population to preserve and denounce attempts to sabotage the system.
It should be noted that the Nhamassonge Administrative Post in Guro has two other integrated energy and water supply systems located in Cabermunde and Minga.
