The Director-General of the Zambeze Agency called today in

Mocuba, Zambezia, for greater collaboration with the private sector as a means of boosting the national economy.

Celso Cunha made the argument during a meeting with business leaders from that province as part of a working visit he is conducting to the four provinces of the country’s central region with the aim of sharing the institution’s strategic vision,

proposing support mechanisms for the private sector, and addressing the main concerns facing the business community in order to incorporate them

the Strategic Plan for the Development of the Zambezi Valley Region (PROZAMBEZE) for the next 10 years (2026–2036).

The official emphasized that intervention actions will be developed in various sectors—such as agriculture, tourism, mineral resources, forestry, infrastructure, and logistics—in an integrated manner.

“We believe we will be contributing to the promotion of regional competitiveness and connectivity with domestic and international markets for the movement of goods through the improvement and expansion of productive and logistical infrastructure, thereby boosting the country’s economic growth,” explained Cunha.

The meeting was attended by approximately 50 business leaders and representatives of economic associations from the province.
