The Zambezi Valley Development Agency (ADVZ) handed over the Detailed Plan for the town of Munhinga to the Sussundenga District Government, in Manica Province, on Thursday (11 June 26).

This plan is designed to promote land-use planning and drive the sustainable socio-economic development of the locality.

The plan includes 802 plots designated for housing and 50 reserved for various services, ensuring organised urban growth and helping to prevent land disputes and attract investment, as explained by José Cardoso, Director of Strategic Studies and Analysis at ADVZ.

“The area covered by the plan provides for the establishment of basic infrastructure and social services, notably an integrated water supply system for public consumption, irrigation for around 150 hectares, a school, a police station and a health centre,” he said.

José Cardoso emphasised that this initiative addresses the community’s current and future needs, ensuring the necessary support to guarantee its implementation and sustainability.

For her part, the Administrator of the Sussundenga District, Angelina Nguirazi, highlighted the importance of the plan for the development of the locality.

According to the leader, the plan will enable the community to grow in a balanced way, ensuring space for housing, agricultural production and other activities essential to improving the population’s living conditions
