The Director of the Technical and Financial Assistance Services (SATF) at the Zambezi Agency has guaranteed around 40 million meticais to boost the second season of the 2023/24 agricultural campaign in Tete Province.
Nelson Rodrigues António was speaking during the official launch ceremony for the 2024/25 agricultural marketing year, which took place on April 12 in the district of Tsangano, where various pieces of equipment and agricultural inputs were made available.
“The direct rental of 36 tons of seeds; 33.1 tons of various fertilizers; 337.5 liters of pesticides; 114 units of various instruments; six kits of 4/5/6 inch motor pumps, a truck for the disposal of production with a capacity of four tons”.
On the occasion, 18 checks were also handed out for the financing of the same number of beneficiaries in the context of the Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship Financing Line (FAE- Emergência), with a total value of around 16,600,000.00 meticais.
The ceremony to launch the agricultural marketing campaign was led by the
Director of the Provincial Governor’s Office and was attended by members of the Provincial and District Governments, producers, partners and the local population.
