More than 10 employees of the National Penitentiary Services (SERNAP) in Tete province have benefited from professional technical training in the areas of locksmithing, carpentry, cutting and sewing.
The training, given by IFPELAC and lasting three months, is part of the operationalization of the Project for the Socio-Economic Reintegration of Young People in the Zambezi Valley Region (INTEGRA), an initiative of the Zambezi Agency in coordination with SERNAP and the Civic Services of Mozambique.
A total of 12 staff members have been trained, 07 of whom are male and 05 female. They will have the task of disseminating the training to other professionals (SERNAP) as well as inmates.
The INTEGRA Project was launched in February 2023 with a budget of 350 million meticais.
