The Zambezi Valley Development Agency (Zambezi Agency) signed yesterday, in Beira City, Sofala Province, a memorandum of understanding with the Association of Commerce, Industry and Services (ACIS).
According to the memorandum of understanding, the parties intend to establish a cooperation and collaboration mechanism in the fields of commerce, industry, services and investment promotion in order to contribute for a sustainable development of the Zambezi Valley region.
For the General Director of the Zambezi Agency, Roberto Albino, the partnership “will allow a better coordination of our actions, in the scope of financing the Agribusiness sector in the Zambezi Valley Region.”
Already the President of the Association of Commerce, Industry and Services (ACIS), Luís Magaço, understands that the agreement with the Zambezi Agency will support the realization of the “great annual national logistics conference and elaboration of logistics studies.
“We will, from Beira, consider it as the backbone of the national logistics” – explained the president of ACIS.
The memorandum of understanding was signed on the margins of the 2nd Agribusiness, Industry and Logistics Forum, witnessed by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Silvino Moreno, who highlighted its relevance in facilitating a favorable business environment to attract direct national and foreign investment.
