The information was shared by the Director-General of the Zambezi Valley Development Agency (ADVZ), Celso Cunha, who is responsible for the technical coordination of the economic linkages for diversification project, also known as Conecta Negócios.

Speaking on Tuesday (18 August) during a seminar on interaction between large, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, Celso Cunha explained that Conecta Negócios comprises two components.

He explained that the first is linked to “the development of economic linkages through skills enhancement, access to finance, and improvements in the quality and capacity of service provision”, whilst the second “covers the infrastructure sector, digital platforms and support for economic linkages”.

Meanwhile, the governor of Tete province, Domingos Viola, who was also present at the seminar, welcomed the initiative by the Zambezi Valley Development Agency, noting that “Conecta Negócios has been driving agribusiness, industry and other sectors, generating more jobs and business finance, thereby boosting development”, the governor said.

The seminar, which brought together large, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, served as a forum for sharing business opportunities and avenues for contracting and subcontracting services, thereby strengthening links between entrepreneurs and companies.
