The Director-General of the Zambeze Agency, Celso Cunha, welcomed a delegation from the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) today.
At the meeting held at the Zambeze Agency’s office in Maputo, the two institutions discussed the possibility of promoting coordinated actions with a view to joint action in the areas of spatial planning, technical and financial assistance for strategic projects, and identifying further opportunities for collaboration in the provision of humanitarian assistance.
Similarly, the Zambezi Agency and the IOM agreed on the need to join forces to mobilise investment and implement economic and social development projects with a focus on the Zambezi Valley region, highlighting migration processes resulting from climate change.
