The Director-General (DG) of the Zambezi Agency, Celso Cunha, received a courtesy visit today in Tete from the new Commander of the Civic Service of Mozambique (SCM), Major-General Tiago Alberto Nampele.
The two leaders reviewed the impact of the implementation of the Socio-Economic Reintegration Project for Young People in the Zambezi Valley, an initiative coordinated by the Zambezi Agency in partnership with the SCM and the National Prison Service.
On the occasion, Celso Cunha challenged the SCM to devise projects for the development of business activities in order to ensure the sustainability of investments aimed at increasing production and productivity within the scope of the project. In response, Major-General Tiago Alberto Nampele noted that the suggestion by the Director-General of the Zambezi Agency reflects the Ministry of Defence’s policy of transforming the SCM’s production units into small enterprises capable of generating income
