The 1st Round of Consumer Connections Grants is open from 23 October to 14 November for businesses that took part in training courses on Personal Initiative and Operational Management as part of the Conecta Negócios programme.

In this round, only applicants who took part in the training sessions held in the provinces of Tete, Nampula and Cabo Delgado will be funded with non-repayable grants of one million meticais each.

The project aims to fund around 500 micro-enterprises listed in the active database that meet the training requirements.

Applicants must be Mozambican nationals; be at least 18 years of age at the time of application; have completed at least the 7th grade of primary education or elementary-level technical and vocational education; own a formal or informal business; and be resident in the project’s target provinces.

The Consumer Connections Project is a mechanism designed to support formal and informal micro-enterprises, consisting of training, selection and financing (of micro-enterprises).

It should be noted that the Conecta Project is implemented by the Ministry of Finance, in coordination with the Zambeze Agency, with support from the World Bank.
